The journal is beautiful. The design is delicate and unique, the material is rich and smooth, and the color is deep and vibrant. Personally, I wish they made one slightly larger, but other than that I have no complaints. If you're looking for something hearty in terms of durability, the material is delicate and might get beat up if you carry it in a bag among other things. I have a small fabric bag I carry mine in.
