I purchased this as a gift for my Teenage son. It will be treasured and used well. He was extremely surprised at such a luxurious design. You cannot go wrong with this.

Beautiful gift Mar 26, 2009
By J. S. Green I purchased this as a gift for an avid reader/writer. I was very pleased with the quality. The cover is soft and supple, and the gold edged pages give it a very formal and expensive look. The gift was very well received!
The cover was not exactly like the picture, but still had the fleur-de-lis design and embossing.

A beautiful journal Oct 22, 2009
By Candice I have kept a journal for several years. I usually buy less expensive books, but I could not pass this one up. It was well worth the price. I actually bought it directly from the company in burgundy which is even prettier than the brown. It is definitely keepsake worthly. The book is of average size and the page edges are gilded. The leather is very soft and beautifully tooled. Very regal looking. The paper is fairly heavy. Fountain pen ink does not bleed through, but rubber stamp ink does, so I would not reccommend using a really wet pen. The only thing that is missing is a ribbon page marker. I would definitely buy from this company again. I think it would be an ideal gift for someone in their late teens and up.
LOVERLY! Jan 11, 2012
By im*a*western*gal I (along with help from from my dad's wallet) bought this journal so I can record the events of the day, and so I can finally have something to write my thoughts about my private bible studies in it.
It's sooo pretty, with shiny, gold edged pages and it has sort of a soft, squishy cover (it's not bendable or flimsy at all, but I DID almost fall asleep on it).
The shield pattern makes it look like it's sort of from the, well, the King Aurthur and the Knights Of the Round Table era which I love love love, and it gives me such an incentive to write (I have, in various places around the house, about ten, yucky, old, falling apart diary/journals or just a hunk o' paper to write on, in which I sadly, quickly lost interest).
But anyways, I LOVE IT!

If you got money to spend, :)
BUY IT!!!

By Daidree M. Mitchell I purchased this as a gift, and I was not disappointed. The gold leaf edges on the pages is really nice. Seems good quality. The gold around the edges of the cover are a little bright, but not really obnoxious. I would purchase this again.
